As an experienced technology entrepreneur of over 25 years, Rick combines his knowledge of search engine marketing, finance and management to build and advise startups. He is currently a founder of Clixo Search, the National Storm Damage Center and has a small portfolio of online businesses. Prior to founding Clixo, he was a marketing executive at a number of Colorado technology companies including Webolutions, Viadesto, and MedKeeper. Mr. Highsmith moved to Colorado from California where he was President of Chemtracker, a Stanford University technology licensee in Palo Alto. He has founded or consulted for over 50 web or technology based companies throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Rick possesses financial and accounting knowledge gained in a City National Bank analysts program and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and he is also a graduate of USC’s Marshall School of Business Entrepreneur Program. Rick is a self-proclaimed technology addict/nerd and a proud husband, father and big dog owner.
